National Flag of Curaçao
Designed by mr. Martin den Dulk, the flag symbolises Curaçao tropical blue sky and sea and the yellow sun which shine the entire year over the island. The five-pointed stars represent Curaçao and Klein Curaçao and the five continents from which Curacao’s people descend. A multi-cultural community.
Kas di Pal’i Maïshi
A typical slave hut in Curaçao, recognized as a monument by UNESCO Curaçao. The hut is turns into an interactive museum that tells the history of how formerly enslaved locals lived after the abolishment of slavery (1863) in and around the hut. Worth a visit to experience, observe and discover.
Horn blower
A Curaçao Intangible Cultural Heritage, a hornblower used to be appointed by our ancestors to announce important events in the country area. The horn was also used as music instrument, providing a rhythmic base for arduous manual work and harvesting.
